The 2019 U.S. Conference on AIDS (USCA) takes place this week in Washington, DC. HIV.gov will be sharing video conversations from the conference on both Facebook and Twitter. This year’s conference will focus on Ending the HIV Epidemic: A Plan for America. We are excited to be able to bring conversations from the conference to our followers who are not able to be there in person.
The annual conference is convened by NMAC, formerly the National Minority AIDS Council, and it brings together thousands of community leaders and HIV advocates to learn the latest information and build skills to provide effective HIV prevention and treatment services across the nation.
Our video conversations will address several topics being explored across the conference including the new national Ending the HIV Epidemic plan, the roles of several HHS agencies in that plan, and viral hepatitis elimination. We’ll be hearing from HHS’s federal HIV leaders, including, NIH’s Dr. Anthony Fauci, CDC’s Dr. Eugene McCray, HRSA’s Dr. Laura Cheever, IHS’s RADM Michael Weahkee, and, from the Office of Infectious Disease and HIV/AIDS Policy, Dr. Tammy Beckham, Ms. Kaye Hayes, and Ms. Corinna Dan.
Our current schedule of conversations is:
