Trusting God with Hepatitis C is a step of faith that we make daily. Trust and faith is like walking hand in hand with God and when we are scared, he picks us up and carries us. Guest writer and Hep C Warrior, Debbie Scaglione shares a beautiful story of trusting God with Hepatitis C.

When I was a little girl I would sometimes sleep walk at night, I would wake up scared and go to my parent’s bedside and look in my daddy’s face. This would always make me feel safer, of course my father would say otherwise waking to see a figure standing next to him in the dark!

He would say what is the matter Debbie? I would say “I am scared”. He would tell me “everything is ok, you’re safe” and I would trust him. When we are children we trust so easy, without question.

In my battle with Hep-C, I often reflect back on my childhood & compare the safety I felt with my father as to the security I now experience with God. When I am afraid I like this scripture:

“Trust in him at all times, O people; pour out your hearts to him, for God is our refuge”. (Psalm 62:8)

When I am afraid, I will trust in you. (Psalm 56:3)

While fighting Hep-c, cancer or whatever illness, go to God! He hears prayers. Place your trust in Him. He has so many promises in His word for you and I to depend on. He is there for all of His children who trust and believe in Him.

“The LORD your God, who is going before you, will fight for you, as he did for you in Egypt, before your very eyes, and in the desert. There you saw how the LORD your God carried you, as a father carries his son, all the way you went until you reached this place.” (Deuteronomy 1:30, 31)

“O LORD Almighty, blessed is the man who trusts in you”. (Psalm 84:12)

“Those who know your name will trust in you, for you, LORD, have never forsaken those who seek you”. (Psalm 9:10)
