Yesterday I had my week 4 labs drawn, and will know the results in a week. Recap of previous labs: My viral count before beginning the study was over 8 million; after one week, it dropped to 52. Week 2 results were <25. Don’t know if I have 1 or 24 hepatitis C virions, but my goodness, I want this drug combination to finish the battle. My liver enzymes are normal. I feel great.

Last week I went on vacation, not just from my work, but also from hepatitis C. For a week, I didn’t think about hepatitis C, being a patient, or being on treatment. The only reminder was the fact that I was taking pills twice a day.

Do you take a vacation from hepatitis C? I highly recommend it.
