Life Beyond Hepatitis C ’How to Stand Instead of Sink’
We do not have to buckle under unless it is to drop to our knees. No matter what circumstances, difficulties, or challenges, Jesus is bigger than it all. It is vital to remember where we stand, and more than that, whom stands with us. There is NEVER a place in our journey that Jesus isn’t right there beside us. Do you want to move beyond where you are at? Look to him to pull you out of the pit and set you on solid ground.
Our featured song for this week is, “Stand” by Britt Nicole. It is a proclamation for all warriors. If you feel bogged down and sinking in the quick sand of defeat, look up, Jesus’ hand is held out to you, grab on. He will lift you up and set you on a firm place to stand.
Trust in His timing, His way, His path. Be willing to grab on and keep your focus on faith. Here are scriptures we can reap strength and courage from. Through them we find the stance of a Warrior.
Psalm 40:1-2, I waited patiently for the Lord; he turned to me and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; he set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand.
In 2 Chronicles 20:12, it says, “We do not know what to do, but our eyes are upon you.”
2 Chronicles 20:15, "Do not be afraid or discouraged because of this vast army. For the battle is not yours but God’s.
2 Chronicles 20:17, "You will not have to fight this battle. Take up your positions, stand firm and see the deliverance the Lord will give you, O Judah and Jerusalem. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. Go out to face them tomorrow, and the Lord will be with you."
1 Corinthians 16:13, "Be on guard; stand firm in the faith, be men (and women) of courage; be strong."
Psalm 16:8, I have set the Lord always before me. Because he is at my right hand, I will not be shaken.
Our featured scripture for this week: “Look to the Lord and his strength; seek his face always.” Psalm 105:4
May we be reminded of the mighty words from the hymn, “The Solid Rock” verses 1-2 by Edward Mote and William Bradbury.
"My hope is built on nothing less Than Jesus’ blood and righteousness;
I dare not trust the sweetest frame, But wholly lean on Jesus’ name.
When darkness seems to hide his face, I rest on his unchanging grace;
In every high and stormy gale, My anchor holds within the veil.
On Christ the solid Rock, I stand; All other ground is sinking sand.
All other ground is sinking sand.
