Sexually transmitted infections (STIs) continue to surge across the nation warranting a federal response. The U.S. Department of Health & Human Services (HHS) Office of HIV/AIDS and Infectious Disease Policy (OHAIDP) is offering multiple ways for the public to take an active role in helping to develop an inaugural federal action plan for the prevention, diagnosis, care and treatment of STIs.

Submit your comments in writing

OHAIDP has published a Request for Information (RFI) in the Federal Register to solicit written comments, recommendations, and ideas for developing the STI Federal Action Plan. HHS seeks input from a broad mix of stakeholders on what strategies can be implemented by federal agencies to improve the efficiency, effectiveness, coordination, accountability, and impact of our federal response to the surge of STIs.

Electronic responses are strongly preferred and may be emailed to STDplan@hhs.gov. To be assured consideration, comments must be received no later than 5:00 p.m. ET on June 3, 2019.
