In 2019, the Committee on the Examination of the Integration of Opioid and Infectious Disease Prevention Efforts in Select Programs held public sessions during their third committee meeting at the National Academy of Sciences in Washington, DC. The committee heard from invited speakers from programs that are integrating, how they are integrating, and the barriers they face in trying to integrate programs at the intersections of opioids and infectious disease prevention.
Materials from the meeting, including agendas, videos, and presentations, are available here.
Earlier this year, the National Academies released a report, Opportunities to Improve Opioids Use Disorder and Infectious Disease Services: Integrating Responses to a Dual Epidemic, sponsored by OIDP.
