Here is a myth about organ donation: When people want to donate their organs, the hospital staff will not try to save their lives. This is false. Physicians and nurses are trained to fight for the lives of their patients. It does not make sense that they would let a patient die if they could otherwise save them. Do not let this myth prevent you from giving the gift of life; register to be a donor in your state.
