Journey Through Hep C as a Survivor
Did you notice the key word, “through.”? Each phase is different and important but the goal is the same, to be cured of Hep C, not just as a survivor, but a conqueror. The journey is different for everyone. Personally, my journey took over 20 years and 3 Hep C treatments to finally get to a cure. I got through it with God’s help and strength.
The journey up and down the mountain of Hep C treatment does not happen overnight. God is holding out His hand so grab hold. Fix your eyes on Him. Rely on His strength that He designs for you each day. Healing is in the process, one step, one day at a time.
All throughout your Hep C journey God has a special message for you;
“Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze. For I am the Lord, your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior”. . . you are precious and honored in my sight, and because I love you. . .Do not be afraid, for I am with you." Isaiah 43:1-5 (emphasis mine)
The featured song this week, “Not for a Moment” by Meredith Andrews was written when Meredith and her husband were going through a difficult time in their lives. This song is an inspiration to ALL no matter what you are going through, God is there to lead you to the other side.
Our featured scripture for this week is Deuteronomy 31:8. This is a special treasured verse to me. Before I began treatment for Hepatitis C, God used this scripture in a powerful way to remind me that HE, the LORD GOD, had gone before me and prepared the way. He also was right there beside me on each step of the journey and would Never Leave Me, Not for a Moment. He would get me through it! Friends, He is there to get YOU through your journey also.
Deuteronomy 31:8 The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.
