Hepatitis C is curable, but it is not gone. Not by a long shot. Consider the following;
- There’s a Cure for Hepatitis C. Why Are So Many People Still Dying from It? (Laura Kivans, KQED Nov. 30, 2017)
- Cure denied and cure delayed in Chronic Hepatitis C; monitoring non-start rates and increased time to start using real-world data from the TRIO Network reported by Jules Levin (NATAP conference report: AASLD Annual Meeting 2017, Washington, DC, USA, October 20-24)
- Nine Countries, Not US, Set to Eliminate Hepatitis C by 2030 by Gail Connor Roche (MD 13, 2017)
- Liver Diseases of All Types on the Rise Among Middle-Aged Americans (Newsfeed Hep, Nov. 2017)
If you were thinking that hepatitis C is gone and that you don’t need to increase awareness or advocate for others, think again.
It may feel like there is little one person can do, but we are more than one person. We can change this.
