In observance of Hepatitis Awareness Month, in May I will post to this blog daily, suggesting ways we can help raise awareness about issues surrounding hepatitis C.
A simple way to raise hepatitis awareness is by adding a message to your email signature line. You add this in your settings, and the message will be automatically added to your emails.
Here are some simple, but powerful messages you can use:
- More Americans die from hepatitis C than from HIV. Get tested, get treated, get cured!
- One in 30 Americans born between 1945-1965 is living with hepatitis C. Get tested, get treated, get cured!
- Every day, more than 53 people in the US die from hepatitis C; it’s time to change this. The CDC recommends one time hep C testing for everyone born from 1945 through 1965
