It’s National Blue and Green Day, a day set aside to observe organ donor awareness. There are over 118,200 people who need a lifesaving organ transplant. Of these, nearly 76,000 are active wait list candidates.  The majority are waiting for kidney transplantation. Second place on the list are those waiting for livers  at more than 14,000.
