Some of the thousands of patients of an oral surgeon from Tulsa, Oklahoma, who may have been exposed to hepatitis and HIV at his office have tested positive, KFOR reports. Of the more than 3,000 people tested so far, 57 have hepatitis C, three have hepatitis B and less than three have HIV. The Oklahoma Board of Dentistry allegedly found numerous problems at the practice of Wayne Harrington, DMD, including rusty instruments, after a surprise inspection. Thousands more former patients need to be tested. Officials say they have to investigate further to determine how many of the positive results are actually linked to Harrington.
