The Mecklenberg County Health Department in North Carolina is giving out free vaccines to hundreds of restaurant customers who may have recently been exposed to hepatitis A, WSOC-TV reports. An employee who worked shifts at both the Whiskey Warehouse and Hooters in Concord contracted the disease and potentially exposed customers between February 7 and 13. Health officials are urging anyone who ate or drank at either restaurant during this period to get the shot immediately. The hep A vaccine is only effective if administered within 14 days of infection.
