The Hepatitis B Foundation will host its annual Crystal Ball Gala on Friday, April 11, according to a statement from the group. The event will be held at the Warrington Country Club in Warrington, Pennsylvania, to help fund a cure and a better life for those living with the hepatitis B virus (HBV). This year’s theme, the “Cherry Blossom Extravaganza,” will include an evening of dinner, dancing, a silent auction and an awards ceremony. Thomas Starzl, MD, PhD, will be honored with the 2014 Baruch S. Blumberg Prize for pioneering the first human liver transplant in 1963. The organization is currently accepting auction items and sponsorship opportunities for the event. For more information, call 215.489.4900.
