A lawsuit has been filed against Costco and Townsend Farms for their alleged links to a recent hepatitis A virus (HAV) outbreak, ABC reports. The suit comes just days after the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced a suspected link between a string of national infections and brand-name frozen berries sold at Costco and Harris Teeter stores. So far, 34 illnesses have been reported in Arizona, California, Colorado, Nevada and New Mexico. Townsend Farms has issued an official recall of the product, and both stores have pulled the berry mixes from their shelves.
