Not only is it safe, but it is a good idea to get those vaccines while you are on treatment. Vaccines work by inducing your body to make an immune response, so the sooner you are vaccinated, the sooner you are protected. Vaccines and medications do not interact. It’s also safe to have a pneumococcal vaccine if your doctor recommends it.
