A surgery center in Atlanta has advised 456 of its colonoscopy patients to get tested for HIV, as well as hepatitis B and C, The Associated Press reports. The warning applies to procedures at Piedmont West Surgery Center between May 2011 and April 2012. It was issued as a result of center staff discovering that cleaning practices for endoscopy equipment were not followed completely during that time period. The center claims that no patients have reported problems so far.
